The last "pad site" at the Town Center Plaza, across the street from the
Leawood City Hall, offered an interesting opportunity to promote pedestrian
linkages in an otherwise automobile oriented environment. A wide sidewalk,
planted with street trees and lined with diagonal parking, leads overflow
crowds from ample parking at the Plaza to the City Hall beyond.
